• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00), Friday – Sunday
• Total Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Operating Room — Neuro/Spine, Ortho/Trauma, General/Robotics/Trauma (perioperative nurse)
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN (OR RN) or perioperative nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas required
• Craniotomy and burr hole experience required; strong neuro/spine OR skills
• Certifications: CNOR preferred; ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS, PALS, TNCC preferred
• Experience with Allscripts or Altera charting systems preferred
• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred (trauma OR experience)
• Ability to provide safe perioperative care across life stages: adolescent, adult, pediatric, geriatric
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must pass facility drug screen upon arrival

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative care for a wide range of surgical cases including neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and robotics
• Demonstrate proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole procedures and related neuro intraoperative care
• Assist with specialized surgeries such as amputations, joint replacements, spinal fusions, and complex trauma cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, RT, pharmacy, rapid response) to ensure high-quality surgical outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic charting systems (Allscripts/Altera)
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to perioperative protocols across all age groups
• Participate in orientation, complete required modules, and support unit workflow during night shift
