Immediate opening for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) travel contract in Henderson, North Carolina (zip 27536). Active RN license and 1+ year recent Emergency Department (ED) experience required. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730 (Travel RN)
- Location: Henderson, NC (zip 27536) — Henderson, North Carolina; travel nurse Henderson NC
- Setting: Emergency Department (ED) / Emergency Room (20 beds)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/18/2026 – End: 8/17/2026)
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights (19:00-07:00) — Emergency Department night shift
- Hours per Week: 36 (Weekly Guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: Must work 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
- Electronic Health Record: Paragon (Paragon EHR experience preferred)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license (current and in good standing)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing experience
- Peripheral IV skills required; Stroke, SEPSIS, and STEMI experience preferred
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity acute care and emergency medicine settings
- Willingness to care for a diverse patient population (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
- Must be located at least 60 miles from Henderson to qualify as a travel candidate
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in the ED
- Assess, triage, and manage acute medical and trauma emergencies
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies; maintain peripheral IV access
- Participate in stroke, sepsis, and STEMI protocols as appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, techs, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in the Paragon EHR system
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 (may surge to 1:5 as needed) while prioritizing patient safety
