Job Details – Travel Nurse / OR RN

• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Pratt, Kansas (Pratt, KS 67124) — Kansas nursing jobs / Pratt healthcare
• Start Date: May 18, 2026
• Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday (06:30–15:00)
• Shift Length: 8 hours per day
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• On Call: Call every 5th or 6th weekend and one weekday as scheduled
• Setting: Community hospital with 5 OR rooms, daily surgical census ~12
• Role Types: Operating Room RN, Perioperative Nurse, Surgical Nurse, Travel Nurse

Qualifications – Operating Room RN / Perioperative Nurse

• Minimum of 3 years recent Operating Room RN (OR RN) experience required (no exceptions)
• Proficiency in orthopedic total joints, general surgery, and OB/C-section procedures
• Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience with electronic charting systems and perioperative documentation
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• First-time travel nurses not accepted; experienced travel OR RNs preferred
• One professional reference required with application

Key Responsibilities – Surgical / Perioperative Duties

• Serve as circulating nurse in the Operating Room for ortho, gynecological, podiatry, general, endoscopy, and labor/delivery (C-section) cases
• Assist with and perform perioperative duties for procedures including total joint replacement, arthroscopy, spinal fusion, thoracotomy, appendectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and more
• Ensure patient safety through adherence to universal protocols, sterile technique, specimen handling, infection control, and blood product administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Social Services—to coordinate perioperative care
• Participate in scheduled weekend and weekday call rotation and float to other units as needed
• Maintain accurate perioperative documentation and communicate effectively with surgical team members
