Job Details – OR RN / Perioperative Nurse (Pratt, Kansas)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Nurse / Travel Registered Nurse
• Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (06:30 – 15:00)
• On-call: Every 5th or 6th weekend and one weekday on-call
• Setting: Community hospital Operating Room (5-room OR unit)
• Typical Daily Census: Approximately 12 surgical patients
• Patient Age Groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

Required Qualifications – OR RN / Surgical Nurse

• Minimum of 3 years recent Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) experience (no exceptions)
• Proficiency in Orthopedics (total joints), General Surgery, and OB cases including C-sections
• Active Kansas RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience with electronic charting systems (any system accepted)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• First-time travel nurses not accepted — experienced travel RN preferred

Key Responsibilities – Circulating & Perioperative Care

• Circulate for a broad range of surgical procedures: Orthopedics, GYN, Podiatry, General, Endoscopy, and Labor & Delivery (including C-sections)
• Assist with special procedures such as colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, hip fracture repairs, and total joint replacements
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to universal protocols (Time Out, infection control, specimen handling/labeling)
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment: Hana table, cell saver, laser safety, and radiation safety measures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response) for optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation and weekend coverage
