- Setting: Level I Pediatric Trauma Center (Pediatric ICU)
- Unit: Cardiovascular PICU (CVPICU) — Pediatric critical care nursing
- Start Dates: June 1, 2026 or June 15, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: Night shift — 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 - $2,200 (travel nurse pay varies by experience)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Tennessee or an active Compact RN license (required for travel nurse assignments)
- Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric ICU experience required (3+ years preferred) — Pediatric ICU nurse experience
- At least one completed previous travel assignment preferred
- BSN preferred
- BLS certification (must remain current throughout assignment)
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Cerner electronic charting experience preferred
- Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
- All requested time off must be submitted at application; no additional RTO after offer
Primary Responsibilities — Pediatric Intensive Care / Critical Care Nursing
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Cardiovascular PICU (CVPICU)
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using Cerner when applicable
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and child life) to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, hemodynamic monitoring, and interventions as prescribed
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process, emphasizing family-centered pediatric care
- Float to like units and campuses within 20 miles as needed
- Work weekend and holiday shifts as required by the assignment
