- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 26, 2026 – August 25, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Type: Travel Contract – Hospital Laboratory / Clinical Laboratory
- Setting: Hospital Laboratory (Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Urinalysis)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory technician experience (hospital or clinical laboratory preferred)
- Preferred: MLT certification (ASCP or AMT) — Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent
- Experience with analyzers and equipment: Sysmex XN-1000, Siemens CA-660, Siemens Dimension EXL, Ortho manual gel systems, Sofia22
- Proficiency in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Blood Bank procedures, and Gram stain techniques
- Ability to work night shifts and block scheduling; reliable night-shift availability required. No call and no floating required for this position.
- Dress code: red top scrubs with black bottoms required
- Familiarity with EMR systems (MEDHOST / AS-400) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, and Gram Stain preparation and interpretation
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment (Sysmex, Siemens, Ortho, Sofia22) and follow instrument QC and maintenance protocols
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting and documentation of test results in the hospital laboratory information system / EMR
- Maintain compliance with hospital, laboratory, and regulatory protocols (safety, quality control, and infection control)
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to support patient care and timely specimen processing
- Participate in shift handoffs and communicate critical values according to hospital policy
