• Position: Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift, Travel Nurse
• Assignment Length: 8 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 48 hours guaranteed
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 4x12 hour shifts per week
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
• Start Date: May 18, 2026

Qualifications — Orthopedic RN / Surgical Nurse Requirements

• Active RN license
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent orthopedic or surgical nursing experience (5 years preferred)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Proficient in English (read, write, speak)

Key Responsibilities — Orthopedic Nursing & Surgical Care

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to young adult, adult, and elderly patients in an orthopedic/surgical setting
• Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assessments; document patient histories, conditions, treatments, and responses
• Deliver pre- and post-operative care and manage pain for orthopedic surgical patients
• Demonstrate competency with specialized procedures and equipment: chest tube care, PEG/G-tube/J-tube care, traction, drainage care, central line access, IV therapy, and transfusion therapy
• Administer and titrate specialized IV drips and medication per protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; involve patients and families in education and care planning
• Supervise, mentor, and precept healthcare staff; serve as team leader when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality and safety standards
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
• Ensure proper functioning of patient care equipment and assist with supply management
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and personnel policies
