Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technician (CVOR) credential required (CVOR/CST preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist or Scrub Tech in a hospital OR setting
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Ability to pass required health screenings: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, TB/PPD, Fit Test, Influenza, Physical/Health Statement
• Successful completion of background checks and competency exams
• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Education and employment verification required

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative and intraoperative support as a Surgical Technologist for cardiac and general surgeries in the main OR
• Scrub and assist surgeons, maintain a sterile field, and perform instrument passing and suturing assistance
• Prepare operating room setup, instruments, equipment, and supplies for cases (including cardiac cases)
• Perform surgical counts, instrument handling, and sterile technique to support patient safety and infection control protocols
• Collaborate with OR nurses, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies, perioperative standards, and CVOR protocols
