• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 28, 2026 – September 26, 2026)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070 – $2,180
• Setting: PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) – Post-anesthesia recovery / recovery room, perioperative nursing
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 3 shifts per week
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-site
• Location: Akron, OH 44304 — Akron, Ohio travel nursing opportunity
• Maximum RTO: 7 days
• No on-call required

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
• Current RN license to practice in Ohio (required for PACU RN roles)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit / recovery room)
• Recent experience with Epic EMR (within the last 12 months; must be listed on resume)
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 6 weeks of hire if not current)
• Ability to meet physical demands: lifting, standing, walking for extended periods
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours common to perioperative and PACU nursing
• Additional certifications (such as PALS, NIHSS) may be required for specialty populations

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, and delegate nursing care for post-anesthesia patients in the PACU
• Use evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgment in post-op and recovery care
• Monitor patient recovery, assess vital signs, pain, and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; manage post-anesthesia interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary perioperative teams (anesthesia, surgeons, OR staff) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR; ensure compliance with documentation standards
• Support patient and family education, discharge teaching, and communication post-procedure
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and PACU best practices
