Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent Emergency Department (ED) RN / ER nurse experience prior to travel
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a Compact State (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record (Epic EMR) required
• At least two recent references from an ER manager, ANM, supervisor, or director (from assignments within the past 12 months)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday during the assignment

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED/ER)
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with a wide range of acute and critical conditions
• Provide advanced life support and emergency interventions as indicated (ACLS/PALS)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, advanced practice providers, techs, and ancillary staff—to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and communications accurately in Epic EMR
• Respond quickly to emergent situations, perform procedures within scope, and escalate care appropriately
• Complete required orientation modules, competency assessments, and ongoing training
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and travel nurse contract requirements
