Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio RN or Compact/Multistate RN license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience required (post-anesthesia care / perioperative nursing)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to complete onboarding health and professional requirements (immunizations, background check, competency exams)
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills
• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from cardiac and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Monitor vital signs, neurovascular status, and hemodynamics; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, titrate infusions, and provide symptom management per orders
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesiologists, cath lab staff, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with hospital policy
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions
