Travel OR RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Perioperative RN)
• Setting: Level 1 Academic Medical Center – 34 ORs; specialized cardiac team
• Start Date: June 15, 2026
• End Date: September 13, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:45 AM (12-hour nights) – Night shift OR RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370 (estimated weekly pay for travel OR RN)

OR RN Requirements & Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio OR a valid multistate compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) RN / perioperative nursing experience
• Experience in at least three of the following surgical specialties: Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, General Surgery
• Ability to scrub and/or circulate in the OR preferred (scrub nurse / circulating nurse skills)
• Trauma Level 1 experience preferred (prior Level I trauma center experience a plus)
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Willingness and ability to complete onboarding requirements (health screenings, background check, skills checklist, etc.)

Perioperative Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients in a fast-paced OR environment
• Scrub and/or circulate for a broad range of surgical cases (excluding burn cases)
• Demonstrate clinical proficiency across at least three surgical specialties (Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, General)
• Support and assist with trauma cases as part of a Level 1 trauma team when required
• Precept, mentor, and support orienting staff and fellow travel nurses as needed
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Flexible scheduling required; may include holiday coverage depending on staffing needs
