Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 12, 2026 – September 11, 2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm–7:30am)
• Setting: HVTI-Stepdown unit (cardiac step-down / telemetry setting) with potential to float to J1-2, J33, and ED
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (On-Site)

Required Qualifications — Cardiac Stepdown RN / Telemetry RN

• Minimum 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown, step-down, or telemetry RN experience (travel RN experience accepted)
• Permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• COVID-19 and seasonal Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to work at least every other holiday

Primary Responsibilities — Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry Nursing

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients recovering from surgery or acute cardiac events
• Continuous telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm recognition; intervene and escalate per unit protocols
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform patient assessments, monitor hemodynamics, and assist with post-op cardiac care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, surgeons, pharmacy, PT/OT) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float to support J1-2, J33, and Emergency Department as needed to maintain patient safety and staffing needs
• Document patient care and clinical changes accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing professional development modules
