Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Lorain, Ohio — 13-week night-shift travel nursing assignment in a Level 1 OB unit (44053). Join a supportive maternity team as an L&D RN, providing perinatal, newborn, and family-centered care in a community hospital on the shores of Lake Erie.

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 17, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (travel nurse night shift)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Setting: Level 1 OB unit with 18 LDRP beds, 4 triage beds, and 2 ORs
• Average Deliveries: 60–65 per month
• Perks: Scrubs provided; supportive interdisciplinary team (OBGYN, CRNA, NNP)

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in Ohio or a compact state (required) — compliant with Ohio nursing jobs and travel nursing requirements
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required prior to direct patient care)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required within 6 months of hire
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (required); recent OB, ED, or critical care experience preferred
• Ability to flex between Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Mother-Baby/Postpartum units (maternity nurse experience preferred)
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification preferred if interpreting fetal tracings
• EPIC EHR experience preferred (electronic charting experience helpful for travel nursing roles)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide woman-, newborn-, and family-centered care across L&D and Mother-Baby units — practicing as an OB nurse and maternity nurse
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and deliver patient/family education
• Circulate and recover C-sections; ability to scrub is a plus
• Monitor fetal tracings using Obix and GE fetal monitoring systems (electronic fetal monitoring)
• Administer medications safely, manage IVs, and coordinate care with hospital departments and interdisciplinary teams
• Support breastfeeding, postpartum education, and discharge teaching for new mothers and families
• Collaborate with OBGYNs, CRNAs, neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs), and pediatric teams for perinatal and neonatal care
• Act as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement and clinical documentation initiatives
• Provide care across the lifespan when needed, including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
