CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-week travel contract in Springfield, OH. Work in a busy cardiovascular operating room with hybrid rooms, cath lab procedures, and a collaborative perioperative team.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour Days/Afternoons
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: Heart call required (10–15 calls in a 6-week period, 30-minute response time)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year CVOR RN experience required; 2 years cardiac experience preferred (cardiac RN / cardiovascular OR nurse)
• Current RN license in Ohio or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required
• Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse, travel nursing jobs)
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate care for cardiovascular and vascular surgical cases, including CABG, valve procedures, carotids, fem-pop bypasses, and other open and endovascular procedures
• Support and scrub for cases in hybrid CVOR rooms and cath lab procedures (TCAR, EVAR, TVAR); cross-cover between CVOR and cath lab as needed
• Float to main OR as required and function as a perioperative/surgical RN when assigned
• Deliver pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including patient assessment, medication administration, and discharge teaching
• Safely administer medications and blood products per hospital policy and cardiac protocols
• Maintain sterile technique, assist with surgical equipment and sterile packs, and ensure accurate documentation
• Serve as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and allied health professionals—to optimize patient outcomes
