- Location: Akron, OH 44304 (Akron, Summit County)
- Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (4 North) – 33-bed telemetry unit
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 6/14/2026 – End: 9/12/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) – Night Shift Telemetry RN
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 (competitive travel nursing pay)
- Type: Travel Nursing / Telemetry RN Assignment
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license (Nursys verification required) – eligible for Ohio RN practice
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry or Cardiac Telemetry setting
- Recent charge nurse experience preferred (2+ years preferred) – experience as a charge RN a plus
- ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Experience with Epic EMR within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume)
- Proficient in phlebotomy and IV start/maintenance
- Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
- Ability to float to other units as needed
- Availability to work every other weekend and holidays
- Solid black scrubs required

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy cardiac telemetry unit
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to arrhythmias and changes in patient condition
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned, providing clinical leadership and support to the nursing team
- Perform phlebotomy, start and maintain IVs, and administer medications per orders
- Document patient care accurately and timely in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (cardiology, case management, respiratory therapy) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other inpatient units as required to support staffing needs
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and telemetry monitoring protocols
