Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Barberton, Ohio. This 24-bed mixed-acuity progressive care unit provides telemetry monitoring and advanced nursing care for cardiovascular and neurological patients. • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
• Setting: 24-bed mixed acuity PCU / Telemetry unit
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5/6
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys verification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU / Telemetry RN experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic electronic medical record experience within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume)
• Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume)
• Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Compliance with all onboarding health and competency requirements
• Availability: no RTO during the first two weeks and no more than 7 days RTO during the assignment

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU and telemetry patients, including frequent assessments and complex care management
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry alarms; initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medication drips, titrate infusions, and perform frequent neurological assessments
• Care for patients with cardiovascular and neurological diagnoses and those requiring isolation precautions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic electronic health record
• Float to other units as needed to support patient volume and deliver safe patient care
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment for patients and staff
