• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (13-week assignment)
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
• Unit: CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) — Cardiac ICU / Neuro ICU
• Start Date: June 14, 2026
• End Date: September 13, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 3 x 12-hour shifts (06:45 - 19:15)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 - $1,650 (competitive pay for travel nursing)
• Charting / EMR: EPIC (EPIC experience required)
• Scrub Color: White
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months ICU experience required; 2 years preferred — prior CVICU or cardiac ICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for both cardiac and neuro ICU patients (cardiac surgery post-op care experience a plus)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state RN license required)
• Certifications required at submission: AHA BLS & ACLS; NIHSS must be obtained prior to start
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must be nicotine-free (negative nicotine/cotinine drug screen required)
• Ability to float within scope to all 3 nearby hospitals (within 20 miles)
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Completion of time-sensitive modules prior to start
• Two professional references from a direct supervisor/manager, ANM, or unit director

Responsibilities (Cardiac ICU / Critical Care RN)

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill cardiac and neuro patients in the CVICU
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
• Care for post-cardiac surgery patients (not directly from OR)
• Operate and monitor advanced hemodynamic equipment: IABP, Pulmonary Artery (Swan-Ganz) catheter, arterial lines, and central lines
• Provide ventilator management, continuous IV sedation, BiPAP/CPAP support, and ABG interpretation
• Adhere to isolation precautions, infection control, and PPE protocols
• Float to other units within scope as needed to support facility operations
• Complete required EKG and pharmacology competency tests during orientation
