• Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Nights
• Location: Plainsboro Township, NJ (08536) — Middlesex County, New Jersey
• Setting: Emergency Department / ER (acute care, triage and critical care)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (contract nursing job)
• Start Date: July 7, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts/week, 36 hours/week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 – $2,100 (competitive emergency nursing pay)
• Orientation: July 7, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Required Qualifications — Emergency Nursing / ER RN

• Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Room RN (ER RN) experience; triage and fast-paced ED experience preferred
• Experience with all age populations, including pediatrics (pediatric emergency care)
• BSN required
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (must be active at submission)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Flu vaccine required
• Ability to work every other weekend and 1 winter + 1 summer holiday
• Limited Requested Time Off (RTO) to meet department staffing needs

Responsibilities — Emergency Department RN Duties

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, stabilize, and monitor patients — perform rapid assessment and prioritization in triage
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments as prescribed; assist with advanced interventions as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, NP/PAs, respiratory therapy, lab, radiology) for optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, trauma, critical situations and codes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and ED protocols
