• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10-hour days (07:00 – 17:30), with evening & weekend on-call requirements
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 – $2,230

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.
• Minimum 18 months recent cath lab or cardiac RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with balloon pump, Impella, atherectomy devices, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Experience managing cardiac medication drips, emergency medications, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• STEMI experience required
• Experience with interventional radiology procedures: angioplasty, carotid stenting, upper/lower extremity angiography, sheath removal/monitoring
• Radiation and laser safety knowledge
• Nicotine-free requirement (negative cotinine test)
• Successful completion of EKG and pharmacology tests during orientation (two attempts max)
• Ability to complete time-sensitive pre-start modules (6–15 hours, non-billable)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cath Lab across pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases
• Assist with interventional cardiac procedures and manage emergent situations, including STEMI responses
• Administer and titrate cardiac medication drips and emergency medications
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data (EKG/ECG interpretation)
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to optimize patient outcomes in acute and critical care settings
• Float within scope as needed to support unit and facility needs
• Participate in on-call rotation for evenings and weekends
• Complete required documentation and charting accurately and in a timely manner
