Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43214 (Central Ohio travel nursing opportunity)
• Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift, Travel RN
• Setting: Acute Care Interventional Telemetry Medical Surgical Unit, 30 beds
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 6/15/2026 – End: 9/14/2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30), every other weekend & holiday
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,860 – $1,960 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• EMR: EPIC experience preferred
• Orientation: 24 hours of orientation provided as part of the assignment

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S. (per travel policy)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (Telemetry RN preferred)
• Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry
• Experience with post-op GI patients and moderate to high acuity cases preferred
• Must reside more than 100 miles from central Columbus, OH (per travel policy)
• Strong skills in central line care, blood product administration, IV management, and wound care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a surgical/telemetry unit
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry and respond to cardiac events
• Titrate cardiac and insulin drips and manage post-op checks and recovery care
• Administer medications including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, and ketamine drips
• Caring for patients with PCA, epidurals, Foley catheters, surgical drains, and feeding tubes
• Perform central line care, blood product administration, IV management, and wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Document care and coordinate communication using EPIC EMR
• Adhere to infection control and isolation protocols and participate in rapid response/code teams
