Job Details
- Location: Columbus, OH 43215 — Ohio interventional radiology jobs / travel healthcare job
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 6/15/2026 – End: 9/14/2026)
- Shift: 4x10-hour days (07:00 – 17:30); may rotate to 5x8s
- Call: As assigned; includes weekend and weeknight rotation (2 days/week, every third weekend)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,830 – $3,040
- Setting: Hospital — Interventional Radiology Unit (Neuro IR / Angio lab)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year recent Neuro Interventional Radiology experience (2 years preferred) as an Interventional Radiology Technologist / Neuro IR Tech
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- ODH Ohio Radiologic License (pending license accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, physics, radiation protection, and medical terminology
- Previous travel healthcare experience required; permanent address must be more than 100 miles from Columbus, OH 43215
- Willingness to assist in training and mentoring permanent staff
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist Neuro Interventional Radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic neurovascular procedures, including cerebral aneurysm coilings, AVM interventions, and acute stroke thrombectomy
- Serve as scrub assistant for invasive neurovascular and endovascular procedures
- Operate and maintain angiographic fluoroscopy systems, ultrasound, and CT equipment (Siemens IR lab, GE ultrasound)
- Manage inventory and supply chain for the IR lab (1,500+ products) and ensure appropriate sterile field setup
- Perform and assist with angioplasty, carotid/cerebral angiography, embolization, stent placement, thrombolysis, vertebroplasty, and other neuro and vascular interventions
- Support oncology IR procedures (biopsies, chemoembolization, Y-90) and non-neuro interventions (uterine artery embolizations, venous lysis, RFA, infusion pump placements)
- Maintain sterile technique, radiation safety, and accurate patient documentation in Epic
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response
- Assist in training, mentoring, and orienting permanent staff and other travel technologists
