Qualifications and Job Requirements

• Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) credential required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience; general anesthesiology experience required
• Active North Carolina license required (must be able to credential quickly)
• Comfortable working night shifts and in a fast-paced surgery center
• Familiarity with perioperative processes, pre-op assessments, and post-anesthesia care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a variety of general surgical cases in a surgery center setting
• Collaborate with supervising anesthesiologists and CRNAs (1:4 MD to CRNA ratio) as part of the anesthesia care team
• Document thoroughly using the SiS charting system and maintain accurate perioperative records
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and evidence-based anesthesia management throughout the perioperative period
• Participate in pre-operative assessments, intraoperative anesthetic management, and post-anesthesia recovery as needed
