• Setting: Hospital Laboratory / Clinical Laboratory
• Shift: 8 Hour Nights (Night Shift Medical Technologist)
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690 – $1,820

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist (MT) / Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting
• ASCP certification preferred; AMT or equivalent certification or state licensure accepted
• Prior blood bank (BB) experience preferred for this role
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory testing areas (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank) and quality control (QC) procedures
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with laboratory and clinical staff
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accurate documentation practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work night shifts as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Perform general clinical laboratory testing and blood bank (BB) testing in a hospital setting
• Operate, maintain, and perform routine QC on laboratory equipment according to protocols
• Ensure accurate, timely reporting of test results and maintain precise laboratory records
• Follow CLIA/CAP and hospital quality and safety procedures to support compliance
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and document corrective actions; use Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) as required
