Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years recent Emergency Department (ED) / ER nurse experience — high-volume ER experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Previous travel nursing experience (at least one completed contract assignment)
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact State License (for New Jersey nursing jobs)
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (valid and not pending or expiring within 30 days of submission)
• Strong triage, assessment, and acute care skills; experience with fast-paced, high-acuity patient populations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department / high-volume ER
• Perform triage, rapid assessment, and critical interventions for acute and emergency cases
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary ED team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, trauma, and rapidly changing clinical situations
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Participate in required orientation, competency validation, and training sessions (virtual and in-person)
• Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and ED protocols

Note: No block scheduling or special requests. Requested Time Off (RTO) is limited to no more than 3 days. Full orientation attendance is mandatory; rescheduling is not permitted.
