Job Details
- Location: Nampa, Idaho (83687) — Treasure Valley / Boise metro area (Idaho nursing jobs, travel nurse jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: June 15, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a), weekends as needed, first to float
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,400 – $2,530
- Setting: Acute Care – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) — obstetric nurse / perinatal nursing role
- Charting System: EPIC
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery experience required (3 years preferred)
- Mother-baby experience preferred (1 year preferred) — postpartum couplet care experience a plus
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE
- Hands-on experience attending deliveries, newborn care, triage, circulating for C-sections, and postpartum care
- Experience with magnesium protocols and titrating drips (Pitocin, magnesium, insulin)
- First-time travel nurses welcome — travel nursing and L&D travel assignments encouraged
- Must be able to float to other Treasure Valley sites as needed
- Compliance with hospital dress code (hospital-issued scrubs)
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a 14-bed LDRP unit — 1:1 labor support following AWHONN standards
- Circulate and recover C-section patients in 2 dedicated OR suites (obstetric OR support)
- Staff triage beds and manage a variety of obstetric diagnoses (?32 weeks gestation, HTN, TOLACs, gestational diabetes, etc.)
- Administer and titrate medications including Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin drips; follow unit protocols
- Collaborate with OB hospitalists, Neonatal NPs, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary support staff for safe perinatal outcomes
- Float to other units within primary skill set or serve as sitter as needed
- Complete orientation and required EPIC/Curio assignments prior to start
