• Location: Cleveland, OH 44106 – University Circle neighborhood (Cleveland healthcare hub, dining, parks, and lakefront)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Unit: Lerner Tower 5 – Cardiac Stepdown (30 beds; cardiac telemetry/step-down unit)
• Start Date: May 3, 2026
• End Date: August 1, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (travel nursing opportunity)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• At least 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience; cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care experience preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS preferred and/or telemetry certification encouraged
• Completion of required onboarding health screenings (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Fit Test, 2-Step PPD or IGRA, Physical/Health Statement)
• Successful completion of skills checklist and competency exams
• Background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening as part of onboarding
• Driver's License/State ID

Key Responsibilities – Cardiac Stepdown Nurse (RN)

• Provide expert nursing care to adult patients with complex cardiac conditions in a cardiac stepdown / telemetry setting
• Perform continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpret telemetry strips for dysrhythmias
• Manage patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac implantable devices (VADs, pacemakers, ICDs)
• Assist with and manage recovery from cardiac procedures including cath lab procedures, ablations, cardioversion, and device implantations
• Collaborate with cardiology, heart failure, electrophysiology, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education on cardiac disease, device care, medications, and discharge planning
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with clinical protocols
