Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 – $2,030 (travel nurse pay)
• Job Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse
• Location: Weirton, WV 26062 — Weirton, West Virginia (Ohio River region)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 28, 2026 – August 27, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights; every other weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Care Setting: Acute Care — Med/Surg Unit (48 beds), Med/Surg-Tele and IMC float opportunities

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license in West Virginia or a valid compact nursing license (compact RN accepted)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience (acute care experience preferred)
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred — familiarity with electronic medical records a plus
• First-time travel nurses welcome — travel RN and travel nursing jobs encouraged to apply
• Submission must include a copy of candidate's unexpired driver's license

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to med/surg patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls, and generalized weakness
• Monitor and titrate drips (heparin, bumex, lasix; no cardiac drip titration)
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists for respiratory equipment monitoring and ventilator support as needed
• Work with nurse aides/patient care techs to support activities of daily living (vitals, bathing, feeding, toileting, turning and positioning)
• Float to other Med/Surg, Med/Surg-Tele, or IMC units as needed to support staffing and patient care
• Document patient care and clinical assessments using EPIC electronic health record
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations and adhere to scheduled shift assignments
• Attend 1 day of orientation with educator/computer system and 1 day with a preceptor prior to assignment start
