• Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Facility (Operating Room / CVOR / First Assist)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 6/15/2026 – End: 9/14/2026)
• Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,220 – $1,310
• Unit: Operating Room – General, CVOR, First Assist
• Charting / EMR: EPIC (experience with EPIC preferred)
• Scrub Color: Ceil Blue
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
• Orientation: 16 hours (required prior to start). During orientation, candidates must successfully complete both EKG and Pharm tests. Two attempts are allowed for each test, with no remediation available for a re-test. Study materials will be provided prior to testing to support your preparation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months recent OR Tech experience required; 2 years preferred (surgical technologist experience in general, ortho, cardiovascular, robotic cases)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NBSTSA and/or NCCT certification recommended; CST or Surgical Technologist credential a plus
• Nicotine-free (negative cotinine test required)
• Willingness to float within scope and to sister facilities as needed
• Ability to complete time-sensitive onboarding modules prior to start
• Must provide all requested time off (RTO) at submission
• First-time travelers welcome — no prior travel experience required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, cardiovascular (CVOR), and robotic-assisted surgeries
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of instruments and OR environment
• Prepare operating room, instruments, equipment, and supplies for scheduled cases; anticipate surgeon needs
• Support surgeons and the multidisciplinary surgical team during procedures as a scrub and circulating technologist when applicable
• Participate in training, mentoring, and support for students and new staff in a teaching hospital setting
• Float to other units or sister facilities as required to meet patient care needs
• Adhere to safety protocols, including fire, laser, and radiation safety procedures
• Accurately document procedures, counts, and patient information in EPIC (or other EMR systems)
