• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090 – $2,200
• Contract Length: 6 weeks

• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry
• Start Date: June 22, 2026
• Shifts: 12-hour shifts; weekends required (Saturday & Sunday); every other holiday
• Floating: Within specialty and to ED Hold/other units as needed (float to acute care)
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Charting: Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience on a Stepdown/PCU unit (true Stepdown RN experience required; M/S Tele not accepted)
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only); NIHSS required
• Ability to float within specialty and to ED Hold/other units as needed
• Physical ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform nursing duties
• Available for weekends and every other holiday; maximum of 3 days RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized cardiac and progressive care for Stepdown/PCU patients, including trach care, bariatric care, nocturnal vents, and stroke care
• Manage patient assignments at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in Stepdown/PCU; 1:6 when floated to acute care
• Deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including post-op, stroke, and complex medical/surgical patients
• Float to other specialty units and ED Hold as required while maintaining standards of care
• Document all patient care accurately in Cerner EMR and complete required orientation modules and training
• Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
