Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-week travel nurse assignment in Burlington, MA (01805) supporting ED-boarded patients. Join a dynamic healthcare team providing critical Med/Surg Telemetry care in the Emergency Department near Boston.
Job Details
- Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse / Travel RN
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nurse contract)
- Location: Burlington, MA (01805) — Boston-area, Middlesex County
- Clinical Setting: Emergency Department (Med/Surg Tele boarding patients)
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 – $2,600 (competitive pay for travel RN)
- Start Date: June 22, 2026
- Contract Guarantee: 72 hours biweekly (guaranteed hours do not include on-call time)
- Floating: Not required
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts — Massachusetts nursing jobs applicants only
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry clinical experience, including care for patients boarding in the ED (Emergency Department)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR (electronic medical record)
- Ability to pass Day 1 tele testing and practice tests during onboarding (must pass within 2 attempts)
- Must be separated from BILH for 6+ months and in good standing to be considered
- No local candidates — must live more than 50 miles from Burlington, MA
- All requested time off must be disclosed at submission; minimal time off will be considered
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients boarding in the Emergency Department
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and document care accurately using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, ED staff, case management) to coordinate patient care and transitions
- Maintain appropriate patient ratios (typically 5:1) and prioritize patient safety in a high-acuity ED boarding environment
- Participate in required tele testing and compliance-focused onboarding processes
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards in a Level 1 Trauma-capable setting
