- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
- Setting: Critical Care Float Pool – Multiple ICUs (Neuro, Surgical, Medical, CVICU, Cardiology)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (July 13, 2026 – October 12, 2026)
- Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week
- Weekend Coverage: Minimum every other weekend
- Patient Ratio: 2:1 for nights and weekends
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Nursing Assignment
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (critical care RN experience required)
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Current BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EPIC experience preferred)
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference)
Responsibilities – Critical Care RN / ICU Travel Nurse
- Float across Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and other units as needed
- Provide comprehensive care for adult patients with complex, multisystem critical illness
- Manage ventilators, telemetry, IV starts, and advanced cardiac drips
- Administer emergency medications and blood products according to protocol
- Perform arterial and central line management, EVD care, and ICP monitoring
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias; manage acute hemodynamic changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Adhere to float policy and maintain flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
