• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 – $2,040
• Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) — Ohio travel nursing jobs / Columbus healthcare
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (July 13, 2026 – October 12, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Unit: UH Ross Float Pool – Critical Care (Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology, CVICU)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience as an ICU Registered Nurse or Critical Care RN
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN / travel nurse background preferred)
• Active RN license: compact RN license or Ohio state RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system (experience with electronic medical records/EMR)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Must provide 2 professional references (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Responsibilities

• Float across multiple ICU specialties based on staffing and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Telemetry, and CVICU
• Deliver high-quality critical care to adult patients with diverse diagnoses, including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart)
• Manage ventilators, telemetry monitoring, IV starts, central lines, and advanced monitoring equipment
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), manage dysrhythmias, and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips safely
• Provide critical assessments, medication administration, and timely documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy) to coordinate patient care
• Follow float pool policies: float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
