• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 - $1,750
• Location: Peoria, IL (61637) — central Illinois travel nursing job
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital – General Medical Unit (Med/Surg)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)
• Shift: 12-hour nights — Night Shift RN / Night Shift Nurse
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: June 15, 2026
• Contract Duration: Up to 103 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan
• American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification (required prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a healthcare environment; med/surg or acute care experience preferred
• Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft applications
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Ability to pass a full-panel drug screen (Drug Free Campus)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered medical-surgical care consistent with RN scope of practice and facility policies
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care; collaborate with patients and interdisciplinary team to achieve care goals
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
• Function autonomously as part of the clinical team and delegate appropriately
• Advocate for patient needs and continuous quality improvement in clinical practice
• Provide compassionate emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
• Educate patients, families, and colleagues to promote a learning-focused environment
• Participate in quality improvement and process initiatives to support clinical excellence and regulatory compliance
• Support cost-effective care and maintain a safe, clean work environment
