- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830 - $3,040
- Location: Columbus, OH 43215 (Columbus healthcare jobs / Ohio travel radiology jobs)
- Setting: Hospital – Surgery Main (Interventional Radiology Tech / IR Tech)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 29, 2026 – September 28, 2026)
- Shift: Day Shift, 5x8-hour (06:45 – 15:15), every other holiday
- Call: Split 1/4 of monthly call hours; rotate every 4 weekends
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Travel Requirement: Permanent address must be >100 miles from facility (travel technologist requirement)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist (VIR) with Level I or II trauma experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT certification (Radiography or Vascular/Interventional preferred) or equivalent
- Ohio Department of Health radiologic license (pending accepted; 24–48 hrs to obtain)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Competency and hands-on experience with fluoroscopy, C-arm, CT, and ultrasound equipment
- Experience with EPIC charting and PenVasc reporting software preferred
- Strong sterile technique, ability to scrub/monitor/circulate, and work in a 2:1 RT:RN lab environment
Key Responsibilities (Interventional Radiology Tech)
- Assist interventional radiologists with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures (scrubbing, monitoring, circulating)
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, C-arm, and procedure-specific devices
- Prepare and set up sterile equipment and instrument trays for procedures such as abdominal aortograms, fistulagrams, carotid angiographies, EVARs, dialysis interventions, and peripheral angiograms
- Perform patient positioning, procedural prep, contrast administration support, and post-procedure care per protocol
- Document procedures using EPIC and PenVasc; ensure accurate charting and compliance with hospital policies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced Level I trauma center and participate in orientation modules and ongoing competency assessments
