Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY RN)
• Minimum 1 year of PICU or pediatric nursing experience (PICU nurse / pediatric ICU RN)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Ability to float to pediatric units as needed (flexible pediatric nurse)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality pediatric critical care to patients in the PICU
• Monitor, assess, and document pediatric patient conditions and progress, including pediatric critical care assessments
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and unit protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, social work) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to pediatric units as required to support patient care needs and unit staffing
