• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370-$2,500

• Setting: Ambulatory surgery center with 6 OR rooms and 4 PACU rooms, currently staffed for 4 OR rooms
• Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19104
• Start Date: 7/6/2026
• Duration: 13-week local contract
• Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Shift Options: 7:00 AM-5:30 PM or 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Additional Schedule Option: 3 10-hour shifts available Tuesday through Thursday
• Call Requirement: No call
• Weekend Requirement: No weekends
• Employment Type: Local contract RN job

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of PACU Registered Nurse experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• ACLS certification required
• Experience in surgical nursing, post-anesthesia care, or perioperative nursing preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient monitoring skills
• No Child abuse clearance required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality PACU nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, oxygenation, and recovery progression in the post-anesthesia care unit
• Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to support safe patient recovery
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• Support efficient patient flow in a high-volume ambulatory surgery center
