• Position: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210
• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Unit Focus: Mixed med-surg PCU with transitional beds

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• IV certification required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work weekends and float to other units as needed

Responsibilities

• Start and manage IVs in a Progressive Care Unit setting
• Administer medications safely and accurately as a skilled PCU RN
• Monitor vital signs and evaluate patient responses to treatment
• Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge instructions, and self-care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized patient plans
• Document care and patient status in EPIC EMR
• Float to lower acuity units when needed
• Follow unit policies, maintain patient safety, and support high-quality care
• Assist with common med-surg and PCU procedures including chest tubes, PICC line care, IV antibiotics, and bedside procedures as appropriate
