Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Job in Chamberlain, South Dakota | Acute Care OB Contract

Travel to Chamberlain, SD for a 13-week Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) contract in an acute care setting. This on-site nursing opportunity offers the chance to work in Med/Surg and OB nursing along the scenic Missouri River.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310-$2,440
• Location: Chamberlain, South Dakota
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care / Med-Surg and OB
• Start Date: 7/13/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Rotating day/night 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday
• Call Requirement: 3 call shifts during the 13-week contract
• Charting System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
• At least 6 months of Med/Surg nursing experience within the past year
• At least 6 months of OB nursing experience within the past year
• Active RN license required; willing to wait for state license if needed
• BLS certification required before start
• ACLS certification required before start
• NRP certification required before start
• TNCC preferred
• PALS required
• Ability to float between OB and Med/Surg units
• Willingness to support postpartum patients on the Med/Surg floor; training available if needed
• Ability to function independently in the ER and function in the MS unit with up to 5 patients

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Work in Med/Surg and OB nursing and float between OB and Med/Surg units
• Support postpartum patient care as part of the Med/Surg floor responsibilities
• Document care in the EPIC charting system
• Float between assigned OB and Med/Surg departments based on staffing and patient care needs
• Participate in rotating day/night shifts, every other weekend and holiday coverage, and 3 call shifts during the contract
