Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930-$2,030
• Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
• Start Date: 8/10/2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Setting: Med/Surg Tele | Acute Care Hospital
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Expectation: 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in Med/Surg Tele, telemetry, or comparable acute care nursing
• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS certification
• Strong experience with telemetry monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and cardiac assessment
• Ability to care for patients receiving cardiac drips including Primacor, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, heparin, Lasix, and insulin infusions
• Experience with chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and wound care
• Previous EPIC electronic health record experience preferred
• Ability to float to comparable inpatient nursing units within scope of practice as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med-Surg Tele patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac-related conditions
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and titrate ordered drips according to facility protocols and RN scope of practice
• Care for patients with CHF, atrial fibrillation, dysrhythmias, and other telemetry-focused diagnoses
• Complete thorough assessments, accurate documentation, and patient education throughout the shift
• Collaborate with charge nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, telemetry support staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to improve patient outcomes
• Assist with pre-surgical and post-procedural nursing care as appropriate
• Maintain accurate pain reassessment documentation and follow medication administration guidelines
