This urgent travel Registered Nurse opening is for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN with primary responsibilities in PCU and float coverage to Med Surg. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Float Requirement: Required; primarily to Med Surg
• Schedule Notes: 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• Contract Note: Facility may consider an up-to-20-week assignment

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand before start
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Nursys required with submission
• Epic experience strongly preferred
• Must be comfortable floating, primarily supporting Med Surg
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application or before offer acceptance
• Ability to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer, or have a plan in place for completion
• Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions only
• SSN required for compliance submission

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to PCU patients in a high-acuity setting
• Provide flexible support across the unit and float to Med Surg as needed
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate effective patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the charting system
• Maintain readiness for night shift workflows and support unit efficiency
• Follow facility protocols and uphold best practices for patient safety and quality care
