- Schedule: 36 hours per week, including every other weekend
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
Job Requirements
- Active Virginia RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
- At least 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience in a similar-sized ED
- Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma environment required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Trauma certification such as ATCN, TNCC, or ATLC required
- Cerner experience highly preferred
- Must be flexible to meet unit staffing needs; no block schedule
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring
- Support trauma care and respond to urgent and emergent situations
- Administer medications, initiate treatment plans, and collaborate with the care team
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR
- Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes, acuity levels, and staffing needs
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-moving healthcare environment
