- Setting: On-site Progressive Care / Telemetry / Oncology Unit

- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Rotation: At least 2 weekends per month, subject to unit needs
- EMR: Epic
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of PCU nursing experience required
- First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of total RN experience, including 1 year in Progressive Care
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry nursing skills
- Comfortable caring for patients on BiPAP and high-flow oxygen
- Experience with titratable drips such as diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, digoxin, Bumex, and Lasix
- Ability to manage common Progressive Care procedures and devices, including trach care, chest tubes, TR bands, post-cath lab care, and central line maintenance
- Compassionate, team-oriented approach with a focus on patient-centered care
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for a varied patient population, including cardiac, medical, oncology, and post-cath lab patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, assess changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately in a telemetry setting
- Administer and titrate medications safely according to patient needs and protocols
- Deliver care for patients with conditions such as CHF, MI, AFib with RVR, pneumonia, sepsis, stroke, AKI, and pulmonary edema
- Support post-procedure care for PCI and cath lab patients, including frequent checks and TR band management
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and patient satisfaction
- Float within scope as needed throughout the hospital
- Provide compassionate care to a diverse community, including Spanish-speaking and underserved patient populations
