Job Details
- Position: Travel ER Registered Nurse / Emergency Department RN
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Schedule Notes: Nights and weekends rotate; no call
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
- Location: Austin, TX 78758
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent emergency department or ER nursing experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years are strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current TNCC certification by start date
- Current ENPC certification by start date
- NIHSS certification
- Strong teamwork skills and a proactive, patient-first mindset
- Experience in high-acuity emergency care and fast-paced clinical environments
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy emergency department
- Assess, triage, and monitor patients with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions
- Support common ER procedures, including LPs, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the rest of the care team to ensure efficient patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established ED protocols
- Anticipate patient and department needs while contributing to a positive team environment
- Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced healthcare setting
