- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours, with an option for 48 hours depending on assignment needs
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620 - $1,700
- Charting System: Epic
- Setting: Busy emergency department with a daily census of approximately 135 visits
- Location: Tulsa, OK 74104
Job Requirements
- Active Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required in hand at time of submission
- Experience with the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system required
- Ability to care for diverse patient populations across all age groups
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and prioritization of patients in a fast-paced ER environment
- Administer medications, start and maintain IVs, and support critical interventions as needed
- Monitor and respond to cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and trauma-related emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic while maintaining patient safety and quality of care
- Support emergency treatments including stroke, sepsis, chest pain, trauma, behavioral health, and other urgent presentations
- Adapt to floating within scope as needed based on facility needs
