• Float Requirement: May float to nearby sister facilities
• Charting Experience: Epic preferred
• Orientation: 12 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at submission
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department or ER nursing experience required
• Previous travel RN experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Ability to care for adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Experience with high-acuity and trauma-related scenarios preferred
• Must be comfortable floating as needed to sister facilities
• Must be willing to work required holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Support triage, ED holding, ambulance triage, and lobby triage workflows
• Administer and manage treatments including breathing treatments, blood products, CPAP/BiPAP, and procedural sedation
• Assist with chest tube setup and care, rapid sequence intubation support, trach care, and ventilated patient management
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs, manage dysrhythmias, and support cardiovascular interventions such as cardioversion and defibrillation
• Support critical interventions including CRRT/dialysis, rapid infuser use, and cooling/warming therapies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient patient care in a high-volume emergency setting
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold best practices for patient safety and quality care
