• Schedule: Every other weekend required; holiday rotation per policy
• Floating: Travelers may be asked to float to other units as needed
• Charting System: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• At least 1 year of hospital experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred for Charge RN consideration
• Experience titrating Heparin drips
• Comfortable caring for general Med/Surg patients with varied diagnoses
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Willingness to float to other units when needed
• Negative drug screen required
• Must provide last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and any requested time off for submission

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Administer medications and manage titratable Heparin drips as ordered
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other support teams
• Perform IV starts and utilize available resources when additional assistance is needed
• Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, CPAP, or BiPAP as appropriate
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on quality patient outcomes
