Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or a compact/VA license in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Telemetry experience with a patient ratio background of 1:5 preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Strong Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to work rotating holidays and weekends
• First-time travelers welcome

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring and closer observation
• Monitor telemetry patients and support progressive care needs in a fast-paced PCU environment
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, NSTEMI, stroke, pulmonary disorders, diabetes, multi-system disease, and post-surgical conditions
• Support PCU patients with a typical ratio of 1:4 and telemetry patients with ratios generally 1:5, up to 1:6 maximum
• Perform clinical interventions such as IV management, oxygen support, dysrhythmia monitoring, wound care, and heparin protocol management as needed
• Float within scope and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate charting and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
