- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
- Unit: Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Nursing
- Patient Population: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric behavioral health
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience
- Experience with de-escalation techniques strongly preferred
- Handle With Care or CPI experience is a plus
- Comfortable floating between behavioral health units as needed
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Experience with EHR documentation and medication administration systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered care to behavioral health patients
- Support adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychiatric units as assigned
- Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changing clinical needs
- Use effective de-escalation and crisis-intervention techniques
- Accurately document care in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Administer medications and support treatment plans according to clinical protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote a positive healing environment
