• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 — a vibrant city known for its strong healthcare community, diverse neighborhoods, and convenient access to dining, parks, and downtown attractions
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/21/2026
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,720 - $1,820
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Floating: May float to similar-acuity units within the organization as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• IV start skills required
• Labor & Delivery experience required
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record preferred
• Telemetry interpretation required; candidate must be able to pass an EKG exam prior to start
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for postpartum mothers, newborns, and couplet care patients
• Monitor and support recovery following vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Deliver patient and family education on newborn care, breastfeeding, discharge planning, and postpartum recovery
• Assess newborns and postpartum patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments according to best practices
• Support care for healthy newborns and NAS infants as part of a collaborative care team
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary partners to promote family-centered care
• Document accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism, adaptability, and patient-centered service
